In This Place
I dream of this place where my family awakes to a peaceful breeze playing songs on the chimes. When guests arrive they are greeted outside by gifts as endless as time. In this place I can stand with arms open wide, close my eyes and take a deep breath. Here, hopes are restored and spirits renewed. In this place souls are refreshed.
I dream of this place where the afternoons linger and time almost seems to stand still. As I walk through the trees I lift my face to the sun and smile at the fun my family has here. My children are safe, in this quiet place, to explore, imagine and discover. Here there is room for my family to grow. There is space for our friends. There is a place to be alone.
I dream of this place where for generations unknown what I will teach my children they will teach to their own. The greatest gift to my children is knowledge of God. So here, teaching is easy. For this is God’s place, we can see His face, He has painted a perfect self-portrait. I see His eyes in each sunrise. I hear His voice in the whisper of the wind. The flowers and trees are the works of His hands. His love is nature’s embrace. Why do I love this house and this land?
Look around and you’ll see . . . He is in this place.
